Pear Mound Pictures: 'Confessions of a Hollywood Stuntman'

BJ Davis Tells All in His Upcoming Autobiography

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., March 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- BJ Davis is announcing the first of several exciting projects slated for production by his new company, Pear Mound Pictures. Davis will "tell all" in his upcoming autobiography, entitled "Confessions of a Hollywood Stuntman."

The book, authored by Davis, is scheduled to be published in November, 2005, with a motion picture titled "Movie Magic" to be adapted for the big screen. Hollywood buzz is sure to follow, with shocking revelations, celebrity secrets and behind-the-scenes of the film industry. Much like Joan Collins' novels, the names of real-life celebrities will be changed to protect the not-so-innocent. This literary work is being developed by Pear Mound Pictures as part of a multi-faceted deal, along with several other projects underway.

The book will follow Davis through the trials and tribulations of his life; provide juicy details of his incredible adventures as a Hollywood stuntman; and inspire readers to overcome insurmountable obstacles, just as Davis has done throughout his colorful career. Davis, by his own life, exemplifies a motto of his very first company, Stunts Spectacular: "We do the difficult immediately, the impossible by appointment."

Davis will detail his life experiences which are sure to fascinate readers and provide a rare glimpse into the magic and madness of Hollywood. BJ Davis came through the ranks as a premier stuntman; then became a stunt coordinator and second unit director, having worked with Academy Award(r)-winning actors and directors in all media venues. Davis graduated to directing films, television, rock videos and commercials as a bankable and bondable producer and director.

Davis is no stranger to trouble -- still holding two world records -- having performed life-threatening, spectacular stunts, being the item of media attention and several torrid love affairs with well-known celebrities from the film and music world.

Rock 'n' roll, sex, drugs, lights, camera, action, movies, death-defying stunts, an LAPD scandal, murder, the Mob, and more -- mixed in the revealing circle of Hollywood gossip, fact and fiction, the movie magic of Hollywood will come alive in this book. From a Bel Air bedroom to a studio executive's boardroom, deals are made and careers broken in this dream factory. Davis, like the late, great Steve McQueen, overcame his bad boy background and went on to have a successful film and television career. This is a story of the human spirit and its triumph over a life of adversity with the glitz, glimmer and glamour of Hollywood as Davis's vehicle for success.

Davis commented, "The film industry is a small business that can be unkind at times. I have always tried to help others follow their dreams and make them a reality. Dreams do come true."
