Malers Automation and Control Enters Homeland Security Market

Defense System Answers Yet Unsolved Terror Problem

HADERA, Israel, March 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Malers Automation and Control Ltd. ("Malers") (Pink Sheets:GXXL) today announced that the Company has entered a segment of the homeland security market with a newly developed system. The need for such a system is broad-based, representing a particularly large worldwide market.

Malers' new defense system was designed to prevent the infiltration of terrorists under security fences. Depending on the size of the areas to be covered, the system prices could be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

"Clearly, this offers Malers a very large and profitable market opportunity," says Ronen Luzon, Malers' CEO. "We developed this system with Automatic Service, our new Russian partners. This shows just how well we can leverage the knowledge of both teams to come up with high value systems that can be used in markets around the world."

The two companies are now in the process of submitting proposals to military departments in several countries. This new product was born out of the fact that there have been numerous terrorist attacks and attempted attacks on Israel by digging under security fences. Terrorist organizations worldwide have begun using similar techniques, making their prevention a very hot issue in the defense industry.

Malers has begun the process of submitting patents on the new system.
