The FamilyFun.com April Fools' Pranks mini-site features an assortment of pranks and activities for the entire family including printable fake tax letters and directions to construct a phony tipped-over coffee cup. The following is a popular food prank great for home or the classroom:

Mock Sushi

There's definitely something fishy about these Japanese-style rolls -- kids will be foiled by their sushi-like appearance, until they take a bite. They're really a sweet dessert treat. The rice is crispy, the wraps are fruity, and kids will love them -- no fooling! (Takes under an hour)

 WHAT YOU NEED
 - 1/4 cup butter
 - 4 cups mini marshmallows
 - 6 cups crisped rice cereal
 - 20 to 25 gummy worms
 - 1 to 2 boxes of fruit leather
 - 12- by 17-inch baking sheet
 - 2-quart saucepan

Step 1: Grease a 12- by 17-inch baking sheet.

Step 2: Melt butter in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat.

Step 3: Add the marshmallows and stir until smooth.

Step 4: Remove mixture from heat and stir in the rice cereal until it's evenly coated.

Step 5: Turn the baking sheet so that the shorter ends are at the top and bottom. Then press the marshmallow mixture on the sheet, distributing it evenly.

Step 6: Starting at one side and 1 inch up from the lower edge, place gummy worms atop the mixture end to end in a horizontal line.

Step 7: Gently roll the lower edge of the marshmallow mixture over the gummy worms.

Step 8: Then stop and cut the log away from the rest of the mixture. Use the same method for 4 more logs.

Step 9: Slice each log in 1-inch-thick "sushi" rolls and wrap them individually with a strip of fruit leather.

THE GREAT AMERICAN PRANK CONTEST

Starting March 1, FamilyFun.com is sponsoring the Great American Prank Contest. Visitors to the site are encouraged to enter by submitting their best prank -- either a prank parents have played on their kids or a prank kids have played on their parents or friends. The prank must be harmless and will be judged on originality, simplicity, and humor. In addition, the entrant must have actually pulled the prank. The winner of the contest will win a digital camera and photo printer. Entries must be submitted online, by March 25, 2005 at: http://familyfun.go.com/aprilfools

Last year's winning prank was "Arctic Cereal" submitted by Melissa O.:

The night before, take half of a bowl of cereal and put milk over it. Put it into the freezer. In the morning, take the bowl out and cover it the rest of the way with cereal and more milk. Call your child to breakfast and watch them try to eat the cereal.
