LOS ANGELES, March 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT) today announced that it has shipped a bacterial spore monitor to Secure Wrap under the terms of the previously announced purchase order placed to UDTT on October 12, 2004. Secure Wrap has indicated its desire to implement additional security measures to protect its employees and has welcomed UDTT's assistance in developing a plan for monitoring the air for potential bio-terror attacks and related response procedures.
UDTT has received two purchase orders for its spore monitors from Secure Wrap. This announcement discloses the shipment related to the first purchase order announced on October 12, 2004. Under the terms of that purchase order, Secure Wrap has the option to accept or return the monitor within 90 days from the date of receipt of the equipment. If accepted the agreement calls for Secure Wrap to purchase and for UDTT to ship a device once every two months over the next 18 months. The second purchase order is for the Secure Wrap location in Miami International Airport and was placed on February 9, 2005.
