HARRISBURG, Pa., March 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Worldwide industrial services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE:HSC) announced today that its Patent Construction Systems division has been awarded multi-year contract renewals that extend Patent's role as the exclusive scaffolding supplier to two major industrial plants along the U.S. Gulf Coast. The contracts have a combined value estimated at more than $2.6 million over their terms, which measure up to three years in duration.
Patent will supply rental scaffolding and other access services in support of the ongoing plant maintenance programs at PPG Industries' chlor-alkali chemicals plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana, one of that company's largest chemicals facilities, as well as another major manufacturing plant nearby in southeast Texas. Patent Executive Vice President and General Manager Robert Safier said, "Patent's scaffolding services are an essential part of industrial plant operations and play a key role in keeping plants operating efficiently with a minimum of downtime.
