WGL Spokesman Fred Funk Wins $1.44 Million at Players Championship

ORLANDO, Fla., March 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The World Golf League, Inc. (OTCBB:WGFL) announced today that Fred Funk, the current WGL spokesman, won the sought after Players Championship at Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Fred bested the top 50 players in the world in a 36-hole rain delayed final. The jovial 48-year old won the PGA TOURS premier event when he got up and down from the greenside bunker at the 72nd hole. Fred became the oldest winner in the history of the Players Championship.

"The timing could not be better; how fortunate for the WGL. Fred is scheduled to do a photo shoot this week for the WGL Million Dollar Shootout, which now raises the bar for our Network Contract," said Mike Pagnano, CEO The WGL, Inc. "Fred Funk has mass market appeal, his soothing personality puts everyone at ease, whether a professional golfer or a 36 handicap. Fred Funk will make a major difference in the upcoming WGL Million Dollar Shootout Reality Television Series," Mr. Pagnano went on to say. The Million Dollar Shootout is scheduled to air this summer on a major network and is expected to generate millions in revenue over the next several years for the WGL.

The WGL markets a professional golf concept in the USA, which allows average golfers to play for substantial prize money in local and regional tournaments culminating with a PGA-style national event and world championship.
