Malers Automation and Control Completes Successful Testing of Homeland Security Sensor System

HADERA, Israel, March 31, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Malers Automation and Control Ltd. ("Malers") (Pink Sheets:GXXL) today announced that the Company has successfully completed first stage trials of its newly developed homeland security product used to detect movement underground.

"Terrorists around the world are using underground tunnels to cross boarders, bypass fences and to transport munitions. In most cases they go undetected, creating major havoc for homeland security authorities around the world. Malers identified this problem as a huge business opportunity, leading to the development of this unique product. The projected price for this new system will be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, depending on the size," states Ronen Luzon, CEO of Malers.

The first stage of testing was conducted in the Negev desert in Southern Israel. The sensors successfully identified underground movement and the tunnels themselves at depths of 15 feet. Further tests will be conducted for depths of over 80 feet in the coming months.

"We are very optimistic about the global market opportunities that this sensor system creates for Malers," notes Luzon. "Initial discussions with experts in the homeland security industry have been very positive. The applications go beyond protecting borders. For example, this new system can monitor jails and large facilities, and we will also be developing a smaller system for applications in private homes and businesses."
