IHS Acquires American Technical Publishers Ltd.

Move strengthens IHS' Europe, Middle East and Africa Business


ENGLEWOOD, Colo. and HERTFORDSHIRE, England, April 4, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- IHS (www.IHS.com), a leading global provider of critical technical information, decision-support tools and related services, announced today that the company has acquired American Technical Publishers Ltd. (ATP) of Hertfordshire, England.

ATP's technical content offering has grown since 1980 to include many of the top U.S. engineering Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) and select commercial publishers. The company distributes over 45,000 different information products that include publications, specifications and standards, CD-ROMs, and video training aids.
