Universal Detection Technology's Chairman and CEO, Mr. Jacques Tizabi Interviews with MoneyTV

LOS ANGELES, April 5, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Universal Detection Technology (OTCBB:UDTT) announced today that its CEO, Mr. Jacques Tizabi, was interviewed on April 1st, 2005 by MoneyTV, a nationally syndicated television program.

Mr. Tizabi spoke about the March 14th, 2005 anthrax alarms triggered by sensors at the delivery buildings at the Pentagon. "The alarms caused three mail facilities to be shut down and to remain closed until further tests could determine whether deadly anthrax spores were present," said Mr. Tizabi. "Anthrax spores can prove deadly if antibiotics are not administered in time. During the recent alarms, despite the conflicting results of tests to confirm whether anthrax was actually present or not, about 175 people were offered the option of antibiotics to prevent fatalities. UDTT's spore detection technology can enhance the monitoring of bacterial spores," he added.

Mr. Tizabi also talked about UDTT's recent marketing developments, including the distribution agreement with Quantum Automation for distribution of UDTT's bio-terror sensors in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

The interview will be aired nationwide on Dish Network On-Demand programming. Other airings include:
