Cambodian Ventures Limited Focuses on Precious Mineral Exploration in Cambodia

LOWELL, Mass. and PHNOM PENH, Cambodia, April 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cambodian Ventures Limited (Pink Sheets:CMBV), a junior mining company specifically focused on the exploration and mining of precious minerals in Cambodia, has begun to trade its shares on the OTC Pink Sheets under the symbol (CMBV).

Cambodian Ventures Limited's mission is to obtain licenses for the exploration and mining of precious minerals in Cambodia. Cambodian Ventures intends to carry out exploration activities in regions containing gold and other precious minerals. Based on work by the French, most geologists agree that there is great potential for abundant mineral resources. Although artisanal reserves have been found, the country has not been developed for large-scale precious metal extraction because of internal conflict and war for the last forty years. In the past decade, however, Cambodia has evolved from a fragmented society to a stable regime, friendly to foreign investment.

CEO, Gary Fineberg, states, "The recent up-swing in metal prices, notably gold and copper, is causing increased activity in traditional exploration areas. This is forcing the international mining community to seek opportunities in less traditional countries. In the particular case of Cambodia, an almost complete lack of modern exploration should translate into enormous potential."

The management team of Cambodian Ventures Limited is: Gary Fineberg -- CEO, William West -- VP Operations, John Sharry -- Secretary, and Mark Fineberg -- CFO. Gary, William, and John worked previously for Brewer Natural Resources, a junior mining company, involved in exploration and mining of gold in Cambodia.

The company is currently reviewing six areas of potential high mineralization to either acquire joint-venture working interests or exploration licenses.

The company will detail its exploration plans in the near future.
