New Book Takes a Look at the Roman Church and the World in the 21st Century

PACOIMA, Calif., April 11, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Like a modern-day Nostradamus, Frederick Martin-In-The Fields asks you: What will become of the world in the next generation and how will the world react upon hearing that the next pope will come from... Africa? Anything can happen. You can wait around to see it for yourself. Or you can rush out and buy a copy of his remarkable new novel The Donation of Constantine.

The adventures, struggles, and compassionate personalities that molded the life of Cardinal Mangasha-destined to become Constantine, the first pope from Africa since the fall of the Roman Empire-are vividly brought to life in this compelling novel. The aftermath of terrorism, economic depression, war, and social change ushered in a new age, but he clung to a vision. With determination and faith, he found the will and spirit to toss the burdens of the past to the ash heap of memory and fulfill the role Fate had planned out for him. This is a story of faith in a world that no longer believes in anything.

In The Donation of Constantine, the author crafted an unforgettable tale of sacrifice and enduring hope imbued with emotional power and humor. "It is a story of humanity, the course of the future, and the survival of the world. It asks a big question and shows up a mirror to reality yielding a startling reflection. Just how close, you end up asking yourself, are we to the end of all we know. Or is this the beginning of a great new age? Read on and you might find the answers in these pages," he says.
