STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 13, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- On 1 June, Grahame Maher will become Vodafone Sweden's new CEO. At present, Grahame Maher is heading Vodafone Australia. Hans Kuropatwa, Vodafone Sweden's CEO since 2003, will join Paul Donovan's OVS regional management team.
Grahame Maher has been heading Vodafone Australia for 4 years, and prior to that he was CEO for Vodafone New Zealand. Under Grahame Maher's management, Vodafone Australia has undergone major changes to meet the stiff competition in the Australian market.
Hans Kuropatwa returns to the UK, joining the management of Vodafone's OVS region, which includes Vodafone's operations in Spain, Portugal, Greece, Ireland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Hungary, Egypt, Albania and Malta.
