High Performance Training: It's Not Just For 'The Big Guys'

ORANGE, Calif., April 18, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Southern California-based Association of Professional Consultants (APC) will hold its annual fast-paced, one-day conference on Saturday, May 14, 2005, beginning at 7:30 a.m., at the DoubleTree Hotel in Orange, Calif. This year's conference is entitled: "The Business of Consulting: Achieve Your Vision" and features more than six targeted workshops as well as high performance leadership training.

"If you're an independent consultant, you can't afford to let the grass grow under your feet," says seasoned APC member and conference assistant Ken Noland, president of CFO To Go in Tustin, Calif. "You have to be always attentive to new ways to improve efficiency, attract new clients, qualify leads, network with industry leaders, and market on a dime. This conference is specially tailored for the high performance needs of the little guys in business, the dedicated consultants, both those who have been at it awhile and those who are new to the marketplace."

Bob Davies of High Performance Training will set the conference tone in his talk, "The Sky is Not the Limit, You Are!" As a coach for elite Olympic and college athletes, including Olympic gold medalist Jeff Blatnick, who overcame Hodgkins Disease to win the gold at the 1984 Olympics in wrestling, Davies is no stranger to overcoming obstacles and winning. Known for weaving fun into his high-energy, results-oriented presentations, Davies has a rare gift for translating the inner motivating principles of high-performing athletes to the world of business professionals. He has authored two books on the topic and has a substantial list of satisfied clients that indicate he indeed practices what he preaches.

Conference workshops will include topics on creating attention-grabbing Web sites and generating sales, attracting new clients fast, setting appropriate fees, creating a business plan that to achieve your vision, branding and finding hidden money in your business. The conference will end with a presentation by a panel of notable consultants.
