OpVista Strengthens Sales Force

Four New Professionals Bring over 70-Years Combined Experience


IRVINE, Calif., April 25, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- OpVista, Inc., the company delivering tomorrow's converged WDM networks today, has made a solid commitment to its future by securing several top industry veterans to bolster and strengthen its sales organization throughout North America.

The company has added four new individuals across the country to its already entrenched sales force. Chuck Fusco joins OpVista as a regional Vice President. Fusco will be heading up the Western Region, including Alaska and Hawaii. He has over 20-years of experience, beginning his career with Cox Communications in Rhode Island. Other key personnel joining OpVista include Tim Kurten, Great Lakes Region Account Manager with responsibility for business in a nine-state area surrounding the Great Lakes; Jay Lazorcik, Sr. Application Engineer for the Northeast Region; and David Musser, Sr. Application Engineer for the Great Lakes Region.

David Musser comes to OpVista from Harmonic where he served as a Sales Engineer. David possesses over 15-years of experience and holds a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Penn State University. Tim Kurten has over 10-years of experience and comes to OpVista from Harmonic. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. Jay Lazorcik brings with him 26-years of experience and was a Sr. Sales Engineer with C-COR before joining OpVista. Jay graduated from Penn Sate University with a BSEE Degree. He also holds an Associates Degree completed during his enlistment in the USAF.

With these additions, OpVista rounds out its coverage of North America and strongly positions itself to meet service providers' needs for advanced metro and regional DWDM networks.
