Through the Eyes of a Wise Child -- The Hilarious and Internationally Acclaimed Zapinette Series: A Must-Read New Book

PARIS, April 26, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Albert Russo's new book, Oh Zaperetta!, is many things. Amusing and psychologically penetrating, it is a quicksilver exploration into life's byzantine landscape as seen through the unsparing eyes of wise child Zapinette.

Impatient, impertinent, raucous, and often passionate in her opinions, Zapinette transports you to her world through words you have never heard before. Like her mother, she is a staunch "felinist"; she worries about the "heather-setchuals" who are "VIP positive"; she is freaked out by the "Clue Cocks Clan" and the "androidous" Michael Jackson; has read about the English playwright "Shake'em pears"; wishes more people would go see a "sigh-kayak-tryst"; and can not stand an uppity blue-blood classmate she calls "Charlotte de Jerq." With Zapinette, you will discover Paris, Italy, New York and Belgium in what will turn out to be an unforgettable ride of your life.

Oh Zaperetta! is a one-in-a-kind reckoning with the world at large. Here, Russo takes you to a place where, by turns, innocence elbows wisdom in the ribs and black humor takes on life's supposed sobriety. In the end, you will thank your lucky stars you picked it up and got in the thick of its compelling revelations.
