"Penn's Landing events are more than just a generator of wonderful memories and good feelings," said Acting President of the Penn's Landing Corporation, Joseph Brooks. "Festivals like Jam on the River are also economic development engines with a far-reaching impact."

The success of the past nineteen Jam on the River events can be attributed to the support of our corporate sponsors. Chris Server, Director of Corporate Affairs for US Airways comments, "US Airways is proud to be a Founding Sponsor of Jam on the River. Twenty years ago when US Airways began its support of Jam, we were promoting one of our major destinations, New Orleans.

Since then US Airways has grown our list of destinations from Philadelphia by leaps and bounds but Jam on the River is still relevant as it delivers an active audience that travels not only to our domestic destinations but also to our many nonstop Caribbean and European destinations from Philadelphia as well. In addition, our long-standing partnership with Penn's Landing reinforces our commitment to the Philadelphia community."

In 2004, Penn's Landing Corporation solidified a three-year partnership with Diageo's Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum to be the title sponsor of Jam on the River at Penn's Landing. Ron Melillo, Regional Marketing Manager for Diageo, stated, "Captain Morgan is the State of Pennsylvania's No. 1 selling spirit brand and growing strong. One of our marketing objectives was to find a marquee event in the Greater Philadelphia Region that would match the excitement and scale of the Captain Morgan brand. We chose Jam on the River."

Captain Morgan's Jam on the River at Penn's Landing is made possible by: Captain Morgan's, US Airways, Independence Blue Cross, Commerce Bank, Pennsylvania Lottery, Bud Light, the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation, City Paper, and the Penn's Landing Corporation.
