Getinge: Extended Care Resuming Patient Handling Deliveries to the US from Gloucester Facility

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Getinge announces that as of today the FDA has lifted the temporary ban imposed in February 2005 on US deliveries from the Gloucester production facility for patient handling equipment. Deliveries from Gloucester to clients in the US will resume with immediate effect.

According to the FDA, measures taken by Extended Care and described in their written reply, were adequate enough to allow a lifting of the embargo without a preceding physical inspection. An audit of the facility will still need to be carried out but no final date has been decided.

The loss of revenue as a consequence of the ban is expected to be below SEK 15 million.
