Triton Technologies Announces Addition of Dudley Ward to Board of Directors

Executive Brings Over 45 Years Water Industry Experience to Triton Management Team

RESTON, Va., May 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Triton Technologies (Pink Sheets:TNTG) today announced the addition of EQUUS Environmental's President, Dudley Ward to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Ward is the developer of EQUUS' V-Still distillation technology and brings to Triton more than 45 years business experience in the international water industry.

"We are thrilled with the addition of Mr. Ward to our management team," said Triton CEO, Chris Zanardi. "He is a seasoned industry executive whose depth of knowledge and experience will be a true asset to Triton in helping the Company meet its overall growth objectives."

Prior to developing the V-Still technology, Mr. Ward was Executive Director of Industrial Product Sales & Manufacturing Limited, which he co-founded in 1965.

Triton's EQUUS system can produce ultra-pure and potable water from any feed water source, including seawater (desalination) and wastewater. The market for ultra-pure water is expected to grow from $3 billion in 2004 to more than $5 billion in 2009 and the global desalination market is expected to grow at a rate of about 10 percent each year to reach over $3 billion in 2010. The EQUUS technology overcomes the cost and performance limitations of conventional reverse osmosis and distillation technologies that are used in ultra-pure water production and desalination.

Demonstrations of Triton's EQUUS E-Series distillation system are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of this year.

In addition to the EQUUS system, Triton's portfolio of technologies includes high-grade ethanol production and rechargeable battery manufacturing. Triton plans to begin construction on the Company's first coal-to-syn-gas power plant in the United Kingdom in September of this year.
