Richard Hunt to Speak at Bank Investor Conference


GAINESVILLE, Ga., May 12, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Richard A. Hunt, President and CEO of GB&T Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq:GBTB) will participate as a featured speaker at the America's Community Bankers Community Bank Investor Conference May 18-19 to be held at The Westin New York at Times Square. Greg Hamby, EVP and CFO will also be a participant.

The conference will feature presentations from community banks that comprise the America's Community Bankers NASDAQ Stock Index (ACBQ). The America's Community Bankers NASDAQ Index is the most broadly representative stock index for community banks. The index included 518 community banks with a market capitalization of about $175 billion, as of July 31, 2004. America's Community Bankers and the NASDAQ Stock Market launched the index in December 2003 to track the performance of the strong community-based banking sector.
