ATA Airlines Announces 'Sharing is Good' Sale With Fares as Low as $64 One-Way Via Chicago-Midway to U.S. Continental Cities

INDIANAPOLIS, May 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- ATA Airlines (Pink Sheets:ATAHQ) announces that "Sharing is Good" as it celebrates the 100th day of the codeshare agreement with Southwest Airlines. In the 100 days since the codeshare launched on February 4, more than 100,000 passengers have connected at ATA's hub in Chicago-Midway as part of the first ever codeshare arrangement between two low fare airlines.

To celebrate, ATA launched a "Sharing is Good" ata.com sale for each way fares as low as $64(a) (off peak) on any ticket booked this weekend for travel to or from Chicago-Midway to continental U.S. ATA's sale fares are for travel by November 16, 2005 and tickets must be purchased on the airline's web site, ATA.com before Midnight (E.D.T.) on May 15, 2005.

"The fare sale we are offering in Chicago is our way of sharing our success with our Chicago customers, since 95 percent of the codeshare traffic connects at Midway. ATA is thrilled to celebrate the 100th day of codesharing with Southwest. We have come to realize that sharing is good. It has exceeded our expectations and is an industry first for two low fare airlines to share customers-and the fact that we are connecting over 1,000 passengers a day is really exciting for us," said John Denison, ATA's CEO.

Sale fares are each way based on a 5-day advance round-trip purchase in coach class available only on ATA.com.
