ATA Airlines Offers Sale Fares on 100 Codeshare City Pairs, Including the Southeast, in its ``Sharing is Good'' Celebration with Southwest Airlines

INDIANAPOLIS, May 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- ATA Airlines (Pink Sheets:ATAHQ) is celebrating that "Sharing is Good" as it journeys past the first 100 days of the codeshare with Southwest. The first ever codeshare arrangement between two low-fare airlines continues to gain popularity. This week, ATA announces it shared more than 100,000 passengers with Southwest as it hits the 100th day of codeshare on May 14. To celebrate, ATA has launched a "Sharing is Good" fare sale between 100 city pairs all under $100 for each one-way fare. ATA's sale fares are for travel by November 16, 2005. Tickets must be purchased on ata.com before Midnight (E.D.T.) on May 15, 2005.

"ATA is thrilled to celebrate the 100th day of codeshare with Southwest, and we have come to realize that sharing is good. It has exceeded our expectations and is an industry first for two low-fare airlines to share customers -- and the fact that we are connecting over 1,000 a day is really exciting for us," said John Denison, ATA's CEO.

Sale fares are each way based on a 5-day advance round-trip purchase in coach class available only on ata.com. The "Sharing is Good" sale offers 100 city pairs to passengers who may fly from 29 airports served by Southwest Airlines to or from ATA destinations: Boston, Denver, New York (LGA), Newark, Ft. Myers, Minneapolis, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

Specials for Hawaii may also be purchased on ata.com this weekend.
