RSM EquiCo Promotes Brian O. Boyle to Managing Director of Chicago Office


CHICAGO, May 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- RSM EquiCo, a global investment bank for the private middle market, today announced that Brian O. Boyle has been promoted to managing director of RSM EquiCo Capital Markets, the firm's broker-dealer subsidiary. As managing director, Boyle will lead the firm's Chicago office and manage a team of investment bankers executing M&A transactions on behalf of Midwest-based clients.

"Since joining the firm in 2000, Brian has proven his ability to expertly manage transactions and close deals for clients in a range of industries," said Hector J. "He has excellent business development skills evidenced by his cultivation of important relationships with RSM McGladrey professionals and clients in the region, making him a valuable asset and natural choice to run our Midwest operations."

Boyle joined RSM EquiCo's Costa Mesa, Calif. headquarters in 2000 as a vice president. He transferred to the Chicago office in December 2003 to support the firm's continued growth in the Midwest.

Prior to joining RSM EquiCo, Boyle founded and ran his own investment firm, Capital Placement, which focused on middle-market advisory services, corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. He also spent 13 years at Lehman Brothers, where he served as senior vice president in the firm's New York headquarters.

Boyle attended the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a bachelor's degree in economics with a concentration in finance. He holds NASD Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.
