Pulse Entertainment Partners with m-Qube to Offer Veepers Animated Virtual Personalities Technology to Mobile Content Providers

Telus Mobility Signs on as First Carrier to Offer Enhanced Personalization Services

SAN FRANCISCO and BOSTON, May 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Pulse Entertainment and m-Qube, a leading mobile enabler for content providers, today announced a strategic partnership to offer Pulse's virtual personality (Veepers(tm)) software to m-Qube mobile storefront partners and mobile carrier clients.

Pulse's automated content production service, which will be fully integrated into m-Qube's mobile storefront platform, will provide m-Qube and its customers with advanced mobile personalization solutions. The highly extensible Veeper's technology offers engaging communications and advanced multimedia messaging (MMS) opportunities, ranging from automated animated character messages, to video ring tones and ImageText wallpaper.

"Pulse Veepers technology provides our content provider partners with lifelike and engaging virtual characters to deliver a personalized and compelling experience for mobile subscribers," said Andrew Miller, Senior Vice President of m-Qube. "We are thrilled to offer all of our partners access to animated virtual characters for MMS messaging services and personalized content downloads to help market and monetize their content more effectively."

Telus Mobility of Canada will be the first carrier to offer Veepers technology to subscribers via personalized images available for download and purchase via Web or Wap. Subscribers can add text to these images to create unique screen wallpapers for their mobile phone.

Pulse leverages its Veeper's technology through a telco-grade integrated content management system, to create a range of personalized, automated content applications and services by transforming digital photographs taken on mobile camera-phones and other sources into emotive three-dimensional animated images. Consumers can instantly build personalized characters and content that can be used with MMS, chat, email, visual voicemail, video ring-tones, interactive wallpaper, and other web-to-mobile applications.

"Wireless carriers are eagerly looking to provide compelling mobile user experiences to subscribers that tap into the enormous revenue opportunities presented by mobile content," said Brian Lipschultz, President and CEO of Pulse Entertainment. "Through m-Qube's extensive reach as a distributor of mobile content, Mobile Veepers will not only provide carriers and storefront partners with exciting content personalization solutions, but powerful, viral marketing tools that differentiate their services and will be spread quickly from user to user."
