 StockPickReport Commentary
 The Philosophy of Investing
 Don Harrold, Senior Analyst

This evening I'm not going to draw up any chart data. You will not hear me talk about buying puts, Fibonacci trading or selling calls. I want to focus on the whole philosophy of the idea of investing.

Let me start by making a couple assertions of truth: People make money to spend money.

People spend money to profit from the exchange of capital into goods and services. The exchange is known as, "investing." The finite amount of money garnered ensures a finite amount of goods and services procured through the processes described in points #1 and #2.

There can be not another rationale to make cash than to use cash. That cash will be expended, one of these days, by your heirs, your employees, your friends, or whomever places their mitts on it. Eventually, somewhere down the line your cash is going to be spent.

People don't have "money" troubles, they have "spending" problems. Spend more than you make and you'll spend too much time having to produce it originally. But, trim back in just a few SMALL ways, and you'll breathe easier while your debts decrease and your available time increases.
