Dell (an equity in the news the last few days) surprised some analysts by beating earnings after the bell last week. The news is a surprise to many, even so not a real great surprise.
Certainly not big enough for all traders.
The talk among some hedgefund managers is that Dell really required a serious upside surprise. Investors were distressed too, about the lessening in sales. Most stocks climbed into the black by a modest margin last week. But, not very much news to lead the major markets higher this week.
Of course, the war in Iraq does not help things.
Shareholders we talked to mentioned the war in Iraq as a key reason they are not going long, thus far. StockPickReport analysts continue to believe that the market uneasiness of late is going to eventually lead to a correction. A top market observer calls for a drop off on all major sectors. Yet, we also think the coming drop is going to provide buying opportunities for disciplined traders.
