China Resources Forms Strategic Advisory Board

Respected Mining Industry Executive Joins CRG Team

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, May 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- China Resources Group Ltd. (Pink Sheets:CAEO) (the "Company" or "CRG"), an emerging resource exploration company, is pleased to announce the formation of its Strategic Advisory Board.

"The first few months of 2005 have been extremely exciting and productive for China Resources," said Gerry Belanger, President and CEO. "We are rapidly moving toward the completion of initial due diligence on several promising projects and the formation of a Strategic Advisory Board will provide us with access to additional experienced and proven corporate leaders that will offer invaluable guidance to the Company as it continues to execute its business plan."

First to join CRG's Strategic Advisory Board is Mr. V. Lewis Lawrick. Mr. Lawrick is a partner of Birkenshaw & Company Ltd., a Toronto-based company that provides investment banking and advisory services to the mining industry. Mr. Lawrick currently serves on the board of directors of several publicly traded mineral exploration companies.

"I am extremely honored to have someone of Mr. Lawrick's caliber become the first member of the CRG Strategic Advisory Board. His extensive knowledge of mining, investment banking, and China business practices will be a great benefit to the Company and its shareholders going forward."

CRG intends to appoint additional members to the Strategic Advisory Board over the next several weeks, which will further enhance management's ability to direct the future growth of the Company.
