IASA Announces Hiring of Mark F. Roth as Director of Sales


DURHAM, N.C. , May 23, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Insurance Accounting and Systems Association (IASA) is pleased to announce that Mark F. Roth has accepted a position as IASA's Director of Sales effective May 23, 2005. Roth is well-known throughout the industry not just because of his many years with The National Underwriter Company, but also because of his energy, creativity, and volunteer service on many IASA committees.

"Mark Roth is assuming a newly-created position within IASA which is going to enhance many aspects of our operation," said Joe Pomilia, Executive Director for IASA. "While we have always prided ourselves on good member and customer services, we have lacked a strong and focused presence to help us grow our business show, expand our product base and improve our ability to connect solution providers and customers. Through his vast experience and business know-how Mark is going to provide outstanding leadership for IASA."

Roth's primary responsibilities will include exhibit sales for the IASA Annual Conference & Business Show which occurs every June, but he will also help expand IASA membership services in a variety of other areas like, web seminars, publications and live events.

Previously, Roth held the position of territory vice president and national sales manager with The National Underwriter Company. His areas of responsibility included day-to-day sales management for Tech Decisions magazine and overseeing technology advertising for all of The National Underwriter Company's magazines. He has an extensive 30+ year background in publishing, sales and business development.

The addition of Roth to the existing staff and volunteers of IASA will further establish an effective infrastructure that brings industry players together to share information, expertise and products. In fact, the creation of a Director of Sales position within IASA is part of an overall strategy to bring the entire exhibit sales and management function back in-house. The goal in this strategy is to enhance our effectiveness, improve exhibitor services and better serve IASA members by growing our business show.
