With New Service Into Bob Hope Airport, JetBlue Becomes the First Airline to Fly Nonstop From Burbank to New York City

NEW YORK, May 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq:JBLU) today launched its first nonstop flight to New York's JFK International Airport from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank, CA, offering the first and only nonstop coast-to-coast service from the Southern California airport.

JetBlue plans three daily nonstop flights between Burbank and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport with a fourth to commence July 15, allowing the carrier to offer more daily nonstop flights to California from New York City than any other airline. Burbank will become JetBlue's seventh California destination. In addition to its new service from Burbank, JetBlue currently offers two daily nonstop flights from Ontario and seven daily nonstop flights from Long Beach.

"The wait is finally over for nonstop service to New York from Burbank," said Dave Barger, President and COO of JetBlue Airways. With our new convenient service from Burbank complementing our existing nonstop service from Ontario and Long Beach, it's no wonder our new advertising slogan is 'LAX? Don't even go there.'"

"JetBlue is coming here during the very week that Bob Hope Airport is celebrating its 75th Anniversary, and there couldn't be any better frosting on the cake than nonstop service to New York. This is certainly a time to remember the airport's marvelous history, but the arrival of JetBlue reminds us that Bob Hope Airport has a wonderful future ahead, too. We're all very pleased to welcome JetBlue to Burbank," said Charles Lombardo, President of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority.
