The Dream Girl -- Author Weaves Intriguing Tale of Love around Peculiar Love Triangle in New Novel

GERMANTOWN, Tenn., May 24, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Love can be a tricky thing, especially when the one a person pines for is hidden in memories of the past. J. Daniel Seal examines the cruelty, manipulation, jealousy and longing love can create in his intricately woven new novel, The Dream Girl (now available through AuthorHouse).

Set in a small scenic town along the coast of northern California, the novel centers on Bill Wilson and the strange love triangle in which he finds himself. Known as a regular, hard working account executive at Bernardo Advertising Agency, Bill has attracted the attentions of Debra Grant, a stunning junior associate in her 30s. What began as a staring game has quickly escalated into an uncomfortable work relationship. Bill, determined to set Debra straight, invites her on a lunch date, which she uses to her advantage. She takes him to a secluded park for a picnic. After professing her deep love for Bill, he tries to reject her gently. However, Debra somehow thrusts Bill back in time through his memory to the arms of Cindy, his first love.

This dream state awakens Bill's feelings of love, but not for Debra as she had hoped. Bill continues his relationship with Debra only so he can keep visiting Cindy in his mind. Somehow, the way Debra does it, the interludes seem completely real and tangible, something he cannot do on his own. However, Debra's plan to show Bill what it is like to love backfires, and she becomes increasingly jealous of Cindy, even though she is only a memory. As things escalate, Bill tries to uncover the secret to Debra's mysterious ability while attempting to reconcile the immense love he feels for a woman who only exists in the past.

A truly unique romantic thriller, The Dream Girl is an engrossing story of love and all of the destructive feelings it can invoke.
