VCCU To Open New Thousand Oaks Office

VENTURA, Calif., June 2, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The buzz has already started, even though plans to construct a new Ventura County Credit Union office in Thousand Oaks, Calif. are in the preliminary stages.

Scheduled to be completed in 2007, the purchase of the highly visible and easy-to-find location at the corner of Moorpark Road and Thousand Oaks Blvd. was announced recently.

"We are in the early stages of development," said Carol Harris, President/CEO of Ventura County Credit Union, "but we know we are going to have much more working room to accommodate the most current financial technology."

"From the viewpoint of our members," Harris continued, "the new building will be more comfortable, attractive and convenient. Plus, they are really going to like that there's more parking!"

The new office will also enable the credit union to increase its community involvement, an important part of its philosophy. "We already work with several community groups in Thousand Oaks," said Harris. "Our new office will give us a base from which to expand and strengthen those ties."

"The staff is very excited," said Harris, "They know our new office will be completely state-of-the-art, and they can't wait to see what we put in there."

With more than 44,000 members and $365 million in total assets, Ventura County Credit Union is the largest credit union headquartered in Ventura County.
