 StockPickReport Commentary
 Neil Batho, Columnist

Gold had a big rally today gaining $5.70 for the yellow metal to close at $421... This is not surprising seeing as how the Dutch voted down the EU Constitution. So, gold is back in favor as a global currency once again.

Not only that, but "GLD" had about triple the normal volume today. The gold bugs appear to be back... and this time it's a falling Euro that's helping. Since gold is denominated in US dollars, it was a falling US dollar that helped the rising price of gold the past few years.

However, this is not the only correlation. There is a human factor too - the one that is worrisome about the Euro and that there in only one other "global" paper currency -- the US dollar. However, there is another currency -- gold. So, why not go with what works? Over the past few years some gold bugs have been calling for gold to reach over $1000.00. We don't know for sure - but we do know that "GLD" is at an excellent place to buy and looks very poised to continue up from here.
