EPOD Announces Appointment of New Director


KELOWNA, British Columbia, June 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- EPOD International Inc. (OTCBB:EPOI), (Frankfurt:EDU.F), a developer of advanced energy management technologies that significantly increase the efficiency of electrical power devices, is pleased to announce that Dr. Lou Stamenic, P.Eng., has joined EPOD's board of directors.

Dr. Stamenic is currently Faculty and Research & Development Program Head of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, a post he has held since 1997. Dr. Stamenic brings to EPOD extensive solar energy and electrical engineering experience with specific expertise in building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) and turn-key photovoltaic system implementation. He has published more then 40 scientific papers and photovoltaic related books and a frequent lecturer delivering speeches and training programs internationally.

In addition to his BCIT post, Dr. Stamenic is an adjunct professor at the University of Belgrade, Serbia. He holds a Ph.D and M.Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering in the field of photovoltaics. Dr. Stamenic is the founder and manager of the Photovoltaic Energy Applied Research Lab ("PEARL"), and the past President of the Canadian Solar Industries Association. He has been recognized internationally for providing applied research, design, consulting and engineering services for numerous photovoltaic projects.
