WHAT: Nominations for the 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards, which honor the commitment and accomplishments of the world's leading companies and individuals in the 3G wireless industry, are now being accepted by the CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org). 3G awards will be given in the categories of: -- Industry Leadership -- International Leadership -- Service Innovation -- Subscriber Technology Innovation -- Network Technology Innovation -- Innovative Solutions There is also a write-in category where you may suggest an award of your own design. Awards will also be given to recognize excellence in the development of innovative services and applications for the consumer and enterprise markets. The Consumer awards will be presented in partnership with the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) (www.mobileentertainmentforum.org) and will include the following categories: -- Most Innovative Application of Music/Audio -- Most Innovative Use of Music -- Most Innovative Mobile Game Development -- Most Innovative Use of Mobile Television -- Most Innovative Entertainment Technology Development The Enterprise awards will be presented in partnership with Mobile Enterprise magazine (www.mobileenterprisemag.com) and will include the following categories: -- Most Innovative Wireless Enterprise Solution Implementation -- Most Innovative Wireless Enterprise Solution Development Nominations are open to the public and will be accepted online at www.cdg.org through August 10, 2005. Final selection of the award winners will be made by a panel of judges that will include 3G operators, equipment suppliers, analysts, and members of industry associations and the media. WHO: The CDMA Development Group is a trade association formed to foster the worldwide development, implementation and use of CDMA technologies. The more than 100 member companies of the CDG include many of the world's largest wireless carriers and equipment manufacturers. Primary activities of the CDG include development of CDMA features and services, public relations, education and seminars, regulatory affairs and international support. Currently, there are more than 500 individuals working within various CDG subcommittees on CDMA-related matters. WHEN: The 3G CDMA Industry Achievement Awards will be presented by the CDG at the 3G CDMA Americas Congress in Miami, Florida, on Tuesday, September 13, 2005. HOW TO NOMINATE: Nominations can be made online at www.cdg.org. The deadline for nominations is August 10, 2005.
