Addy Award Winning Creative Uses PointRoll


FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., June 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- PointRoll, Inc. (www.pointroll.com), a leading rich media technology and service provider, announced today that its technology was used by the agencies that took home the Gold and Silver at this year's prestigious ADDY awards. Virgin Atlantic and Crispin Porter + Bogusky won the Gold for the "Hair Salon" campaign. The Silver was awarded to American Airlines and TM Interactive for the "We Know Why You Fly" campaign.

The American Advertising Federation's ADDY Awards honor creative excellence in advertising and cultivates the highest creative standards in the industry. Beginning with the 210 AAF member clubs around the country, the AAF conducts 14 district ADDY(r) Award competitions. Those winners proceed to the national finals. Final awardees were announced at the AAF National Conference 2005 in Nashville on June 7.

The award-winning campaigns offered a high level of interactivity to drive user engagement with their brands. The Virgin Atlantic campaign allowed the user to create a personalized image and share with friends. The American Airlines ad streamed video created by fellow users. At the end of the video, the campaign gave users the opportunity to send to a friend, replay the video, and see additional videos on their website. Both campaigns used PointRoll's TomBoy universal +100K ad unit which was launched in June of 2004.

"For the American Airlines campaign, we used real home videos to inspire others to come and tell us why they fly," said John Rich at TM Interactive. "Some of the video stories we got back were so good they became the next round of the campaign.
