Diamond Discoveries Starts Torngat Exploration

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 9, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Diamond Discoveries (OTCBB:DMDD) is pleased to announce that the Company has engaged McPhar Geosurveys Ltd. of Newmarket, Ontario to conduct the helicopter supported airborne magnetic survey. Weather permitting, the survey is expected to commence within the week. The airborne survey is expected to reduce the risk and better define prospective drill targets. The company plans to commence drill testing immediately after analyzing the modeled survey data. The company has received the necessary funding in order to initiate the 2005 exploration program. The company would also like to confirm that the drill and fuel are already on site.

An international consulting and geological firm has completed a due diligence on Diamond Discoveries' Torngat Mountain project and has made the following recommendations for further exploration which will be implemented.

 1) Conduct an airborne magnetic survey with data modeling to
locate and identify the most prospective targets for drilling

 2) Take larger samples from Dyke "A" where macro and
    micro-diamonds were discovered in 2000

 3) Drill test selected targets with the best combination of
    geophysical, geological and geochemical indications

The airborne magnetic survey is the first step in the program.

Diamond Discoveries would also like to announce that the Company will have a booth at the Cambridge House Gold, PGM & Diamond Conference held at the Vancouver Trade and Convention Centre on June 12 and 13. The Company's booth will be booth no. 602.
