Malers Automation and Control Achieves Breakthrough in Homeland Security Sensor System

Improved Electronics Meets Strict Military False-Positive Standards

HADERA, Israel, June 14, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Malers Automation and Control Ltd. ("Malers") (Pink Sheets:MSNC) today announced that the Company has confirmed a significant breakthrough in the development of its homeland security product which will be used to detect movement underground.

After completion of field testing at depths of 15 feet two months ago, the Company put significant efforts into increasing the reliability of the sensor's readings. "We have added several improvements to the sensor's electronics, which guarantee us a 90% minimum of reading reliability," says Ronen Luzon, Malers' CEO. "This is a critical milestone for us in taking the product to the next development stage, because the military community will only be satisfied with an extremely low false-positive ratio."

Malers expects to have final readings from independent labs on the reliability of the sensor system in the coming weeks. In parallel, the Company is working on the next stages of development of the system, which will eventually lead to depth readings of over 80 feet.

"Our latest findings are a confirmation of the path we are taking in developing the sensor system," continues Luzon. "Homeland security officials cannot activate their staff and resources based on low reliability systems, as in many cases, this would bring about more panic than benefit. Solving reliability issues gives us the peace of mind we need to focus on reaching the levels of depth that we have set as our goal over the coming months."

The security system under development for the homeland security market will enable law enforcement officials and governments to detect underground activity around borders and security fences.
