BATON ROUGE, La., June 15, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Piccadilly Restaurants LLC today announced it is extending its efforts to provide thank you cards for Georgia troops serving in Iraq. The program, which began May 16, was established so Georgia residents would have a simple way to send their gratitude to soldiers overseas and will continue through July 4.
Piccadilly Restaurants is encouraging the community to visit any of its 27 Georgia restaurants and personalize a thank you card. Piccadilly will collect all of the thank you cards and send them to members of Georgia's currently deployed 48th Brigade. The complimentary thank you cards are available in all Piccadilly restaurants.
The cards will be delivered to the men and women of Georgia's 48th Brigade. Piccadilly wishes to send 25,000 thank you cards to these brave men and women. The 48th Brigade shipped out May 14 after a family day with games, food and entertainment, including a concert by Billy Ray Cyrus. Piccadilly assisted in sponsoring the event and arranged for the free concert.
