Robert H. Cornfield, DPM Opens New Office in Auburn Hills, MI

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 16, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Dr. Robert H. Cornfield, Physician of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, returns to his former place of residence in Oakland Township's Rochester Hills/Auburn Hills community. He returns 'to live his dream' as a highly skilled podiatrist to offer his medical and surgical services to the community. He specializes in "everything of the foot," from pediatric to geriatric patient care. A graduate of Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery in Cleveland, Dr. Cornfield is Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.

It took Dr. Cornfield fifteen years and the love of his family to realize his dream to open a podiatric medical and surgical practice in Auburn Hills. Dr. Cornfield said, "During the past decade while I worked in the offices of other physicians, I never lost sight of opening my own practice in the community that has supported me."

He adopted a son and then later five little girls, all sisters, from a Romanian orphanage and brought them to America. He dedicated his life to making the lives of his new family better. Through his wife's severe illness, he nurtured his growing family. While acting as both father and mother to his six children, he still clung to the dream. His courage and tenacity in the endless pursuit of the American Dream has finally paid off. After a decade and a half, Dr. Cornfield returns to the community of his choice to work with patients. Dr. Cornfield said, "I want to make the world a nicer place to be... I want to make a difference when I leave this world, or this community, and if I can leave it even just a little better than I found it, I will be happy, and then I will have made my family proud."

His Auburn Hills office, located at 2251 North Squirrel Road across from Oakland University is officially open in June. He is also on staff at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, St. John Health System in Oakland and has a Surgery Center Affiliation at UnaSource Surgery Center. The dream has become a reality, and he looks forward to giving back to people of his community for years to come. He will continue seeing patients in the Troy office of Dr. Steven Glickman as he has for the past 14 years on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings, but will be in the new Auburn Hills location, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturday afternoons. For the convenience of the patients who have seen him in the Royal Oak location, he will continue hours by appointment there as well.
