ZURICH, Switzerland, June 17, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- STOXX, Ltd. today announced changes in the composition of the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.
Effective with the open of European markets on June 20, 2005 Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirm (Travel & Leisure, Turkey) will be added to the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index.
Manchester United (Travel & Leisure, United Kingdom) will be deleted from the Dow Jones STOXX Football Index. Manchester United was acquired by Red Football Limited (United Kingdom), which is not a public company and thus not a component of the index.
The Dow Jones STOXX Football Index includes all 29 football clubs listed for trading on European stock exchanges. It comprises components from 7 European countries. The Dow Jones STOXX Football Index is free-float market capitalization weighted capped at 10%. The top five components of the index by weight are:
PARKEN SPORT & ENTERTAINMENT 10.00% JUVENTUS 10.00% TRABZONSPOR SPORTIF YATIRM 9.28% AFC AJAX 8.56% BORUSSIA DORTMUND 6.50%
10% cap factor as of June 15, 2005.
