Offshore Network Will Give Intentia 20 Percent Increase in Development and Support Capacity

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, June 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Intentia International AB (publ) (XSSE:INT B), a global provider of enterprise solutions, is establishing an offshore partnership in order to increase application development and testing capacity as well as customer support services by more than 20 percent. This will enable the company to develop new applications more quickly in response to customer requirements.

More than 100 people have already been recruited and are working at Global Operation Centers (GOCs) in Bangalore and Mumbai. A further 150 are to be recruited as a result of the company's recently signed partnership with IBM (which is providing product development resources) and Symphony Services (which is providing both product development and customer support resources). Both are acknowledged leaders in their field and have attained the highest Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) ratings for software production.

Henrik Billgren, the president of Intentia Research & Development, says that offshoring development is an integral part of Intentia's business transformation plan, which was announced in 2004. He also emphasizes that offshoring will enable the company to increase resources without incurring additional costs.

"Offshoring is, effectively, giving us more for less," he says. "These new resources are committed to taking the quality, testing, documentation and maintenance of our software to a higher level."

Billgren adds "Through working with IBM and Symphony, we are adding their considerable expertise to our own. This will result in big advances in process improvement efficiency and increase the deployment of customer support resources."
