The Middle Network Chosen by Digital Film Group for Secure Data Transfer

RENO, Nev., June 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- MidNet, Inc. (OTCBB:MIDX), creator, owner, and operator of The Middle Network(tm), announced today that Digital Film Group, Inc. utilized The Middle Network(tm) to move sensitive film material it required to fulfill specialized services on behalf of Intel Corporation. The footage was sourced from high definition master tapes that could not be moved by courier due to piracy concerns. Instead, Digital Film Group chose to transport the material over The Middle Network(tm), utilizing a private circuit between Lightning Media in Hollywood and Rainmaker in Vancouver, Canada.

According to Joe Alaniz, DFG's manager of technical services, "This job could not have happened without MidNet. The content owner wouldn't allow the high definition masters to be shipped anywhere because of piracy concerns. Instead, we transferred the footage from Lightning Media's Hollywood facility to a secure DFG server at Rainmaker in Vancouver, over The Middle Network(tm). After the high-speed transfer, our customer in Los Angeles departed with his tapes, and we had the material we needed in Vancouver to finish our job for Intel."

With facilities in Hollywood Calif.; Santa Monica, Calif.; Burbank, Calif.; and Valencia, Calif.; Lightning Media provides full service video duplication, including high definition, DVD authoring and replication, non-linear editorial, and asset management to clients such as Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Disney, and MTV, among others. Stephen Buchsbaum, Lightning Media's CEO said, "We had just completed all the testing and the system was ready to go. With this job, I think we've shown there is a more secure and significantly faster way to transfer video data between Vancouver and Hollywood."

Located in Vancouver, Rainmaker Digital Pictures is Western Canada's largest post-production house and provides comprehensive digital post services to such clients as 20th Century Fox, Sony, Paramount, Disney, and Warner Brothers. Barry Chambers, Rainmaker's president said, "We're pleased with the privacy and performance that The Middle Network(tm) offers to us as a premier part of our high-speed data transfer services. 2005 looks like a busy year for Vancouver and a private network like MidNet's should help us keep pace with our customers' needs."

Tilo Kunz, MidNet's president and CEO added, "This session provided a good perspective on the ways a secure, private network like The Middle Network(tm) can complement the public Internet. We're gratified by the trust DFG placed in our network and the support of our partners at Rainmaker and Lightning Media. It's good to see the network commercialized in a cooperative effort like this."
