Weida Communications Wins Bid to Provide Emergency Communications for the Shenyang Water Conservancy Bureau in China

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., June 28, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Weida Communications, Inc. (Other OTC:WDAC), a U.S. company that provides data communication services via satellite to businesses and government agencies throughout China, reports that it has won the bid to provide the emergency satellite communications system for the Shenyang Water Conservancy Bureau. The bid, valued at about $210,000 at current exchange rates, was awarded to the company's subsidiary in China, Guangzhou Weida Communications Co., Ltd. Three companies took part in the bidding.

The project includes one fixed satellite communications station, two mobile satellite communications stations and one vehicle-mounted mobile communications station. These systems will provide data, voice and video communications. Work on the project will start immediately and is expected to be completed before year end.

Using bi-directional VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite communications services for emergency communications is an attractive telecommunications solution in China with its limited existing infrastructure and its rugged terrain.

Earlier this year, Weida was selected to provide emergency communications for the Forest Fire Prevention Office of the State Forestry Administration in China.
