Billy Martin's USA: The Stars Behind the Star

LOS ANGELES, June 29, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Billy Martin's USA (Pink Sheets:BLYM), the "born and bred" American retail brand known for its upscale "western-lifestyle" boots, fashions and accessories, has always enjoyed the loyal following of the many stars of the music, film and sports world: Sheryl Crow, Bruce Springsteen, Whoopi Goldberg, Usher, Mickey Rourke, Robin Williams, Walt Frasier, Eric Clapton, Dwight Yoakam, and Billy Bob Thornton.

As Doug Newton, CEO and Founder of Billy Martin's says, "These are my stars behind the star," the latter being a reference to the company's trademarked 26 year old logo which is in the shape of a western sheriff's star.

One celebrity is long-time Billy Martin's customer, Billy Bob Thornton, who recently got his star on the world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Billy Bob's website, www.billybobthornton.net, it says, "If you want to walk into a store to browse Billy Bob's shirts, Billy Martin's is the only place on earth where you can do it, other than Billy Bob's closet."

Newton also said he will be announcing soon the formation of his new "Equestrienne" line, a natural brand extension recognizing the rapid growth and popularity of this fashion category among professionals and enthusiasts. According to the company's head designer, Elizabeth Israel, "We are talking with one very recognizable 'star' whom we hope to partner with in the design and marketing of the line. She's a former competitive rider, herself, with the prefect star ingredients to make our new Equestrienne line a major success."

"Going from horses to horsepower," Newton said, "Billy Martin's USA will soon be negotiating with NASCAR and their star riders to design a dedicated line of boots, cool jackets and signature accessories." As Israel happily added, "The whole culture and style of NASCAR has always been a perfect match to our Western-lifestyle fashions, and now our company is having a serious adrenaline rush hoping we'll be teaming up with some of their recognizable stars as well."
