Leading Sports Scientist to Head Research and Development at Ameritech International Corp.

PHOENIX, June 30, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Ladislav Pataki, PhD, CSc, ISASc, the most celebrated sports scientist to ever defect to the United States, has been named Director of Research and Development at Ameritech International Corp. (Pink Sheets:AMTR) of Phoenix, Arizona. Dr. Pataki developed both the PowerLean and NutrLife health and wellness lines of products recently purchased by Ameritech.

Dr. Pataki's research since the 1970s has led to the development of a number of health and wellness products. In 1989, Dr. Pataki designed and developed PowerLean, a weight loss and sports nutrition supplement line of products. Dr. Pataki's products are designed with a Micro-Nutrient Philosophy. This philosophy provides the body with a broad spectrum of small doses of trace minerals, vitamins and nutrients. Micro-Nutrient Therapy allows for better absorption of nutrients, conditions the body to improve its own production and recycling of nutrients, which leads to the body being less toxic. In addition to the Micro-Nutrient Philosophy, the PowerLean product line's success is based upon a Time Release Formula. Controlled time release allows ingredients to be released over a period of time, which regulates blood sugar levels, subsequently allowing the body to burn fat rather than storing fat. By burning body fat instead of sugars, the body will lose weight, while not being deprived of important nutrients. With a healthier body, Dr. Pataki's natural supplements create prolonged energy enabling the body to gain strength. PowerLean has been tested and used in Europe for over 15 years and has been used by many Olympic and World Champion athletics in Europe, the United States, and South America.

Born in Czechoslovakia in l946, Dr. Pataki earned his PhD in kinesiology at Komenski University in Czechoslovakia in 1971, his CSc (Candidate of Science) in theory and methodology of sports sciences in 1977, and his ISASc (Independent Science of Academia of Sciences) in 1985. From 1972-78, he was head coach for the Czechoslovak National Discus Throwing Team and was a member of the International Research Team for the Track and Field European Championships. In 1980 he became Vice President of the Research Center for Sports in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. He defected to the United States in 1985.

A world champion athlete in his own right, Dr. Pataki was a member of the 1988 USA Olympic Team support group, leading three USA athletes to the Olympics. Fifteen times since 1988, Dr. Pataki has competed in the Masters Track and Field World Championship; he holds world records in five masters athletic events.

Dr. Pataki has authored and published the book Winning Secrets and developed an audio motivational tape, "Yes, I Can!" He is working on his second book.

Ameritech International Corp. CEO James L. Knapp says, "Dr. Pataki is well respected throughout the world for his contributions to sports nutrition. We believe his contributions to Ameritech International through the PowerLean and NutrLife lines of products will greatly enhance the long-term strength of the company. These products, especially the PowerLean Weight Loss, have tremendous sales potential in North America."
