Photo Release -- Northrop Grumman Appoints Eugene Lee Carrick to Lead New Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Operating Unit


MCLEAN, Va., June 30, 2005 -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) has named Eugene Lee Carrick vice president of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), within the company's Information Technology sector, effective July 1. Carrick will report to Sidney E. Fuchs, president of the sector's TASC business unit.

As vice president for the newly created ISR operating unit, Carrick will oversee resources and technologies for the defense-intelligence market. He will be responsible for providing program support to the U.S. Department of Defense in the areas of information operations, space command-and-control systems, operations and mission support and situational awareness for the joint warfighter. Prior to this promotion, Carrick was the director of the scientific and technology solutions division for the sector.

"Lee has been instrumental in leading our business unit to many years of double-digit growth in intelligence and defense programs," said Fuchs. "His background and diverse experience in leading complex organizations and programs will enable his team to make significant contributions to the success of our customers."

Carrick began his career at the Information Technology sector in 1995 and has a broad range of experience serving the company's national security customers. He earned a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Central Florida, and a master's degree in acquisition and contract management from the West Coast University in Los Angeles. Carrick retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1995.
