Marcus Brennecke New Head of EQT in Germany


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, July 1, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- EQT Partners announces that Marcus Brennecke, who joined the firm as a Partner in the Stockholm office in January 2005, will take over the role as office head in the Munich office and head of the German business as of 1 September 2005. His recruitment represents a major strengthening of EQT's German franchise and a smooth transition from the current country Head Bjorn Hoi Jensen. Bjorn Hoi Jensen, who has headed the German operation the last two years, will remain in the Munich office acting as a sparring partner to the Munich team around Marcus Brennecke, continue making deals and sit on the boards of German portfolio companies.

Marcus Brennecke, 44, is since 11 years active as entrepreneurial investor in the private equity market and served most recently as Managing Partner of the Munich-based Schoeller Metternich Brennecke Group (SMB). Before that he spent 7 years in various management positions at Axel Springer Verlag AG.

Hans Moock, former Partner at EQT Partners in Munich, will be leaving EQT as of end-June.
