CDMA Development Group and TD-SCDMA Forum Cooperate To Bridge 3G Wireless Technologies

Organizations Agree To Promote Interoperability of 3G Technologies


COSTA MESA, Calif., July 6, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- The CDMA Development Group (CDG) (www.cdg.org) announced today that the CDG and the TD-SCDMA Forum have signed a cooperation agreement to develop joint market opportunities for CDMA2000(r) and TD-SCDMA technologies. The two organizations will work together on technical, regulatory and marketing activities.

Key joint initiatives for the CDG and TD-SCDMA Forum include developing interoperability and roaming capability between CDMA2000 and TD-SCDMA systems, developing a joint strategy for standards coordination, collaborating on the future evolution of wireless technologies, and promoting regulatory policies that enable rapid development of advanced wireless services.
