Cashman & Katz Wins CT Lottery

Agency Awarded Three-Year Contract

GLASTONBURY, Conn., July 7, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Cashman & Katz Integrated Communications has won the Connecticut Lottery Corporation's advertising and public relations account. The win ends the 14-year tenure of incumbent Cronin & Company with the quasi-State agency, based in New Britain, CT.

The $5 million account will include all advertising and digital media, as well as public relations and marketing research assignments, according to Ed Katz, principal of Cashman & Katz. "We feel there is an opportunity to better brand and position the Lottery and reinforce the message about the programs in Connecticut that Lottery revenues help to fund."

"We were thrilled to win this business. The timing was absolutely right for our agency. We have been growing steadily and were poised to compete and win the business," said Katz.

"This win will increase the Agency's annualized billings to $30 million, ranking us among the top six agencies in Connecticut," said Tony Cashman, agency principal.

Cashman added, "Our retail and gaming experience coupled with other high profile consumer campaigns will prove valuable in our work with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation. We are looking forward to taking the Lottery's marketing initiatives to the next level."
