Diamond Discoveries Engages Watts, Griffis and McOuat


VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Diamond Discoveries International Corp. (OTCBB:DMDD) is pleased to announce that they have engaged the geological and engineering consulting firm Watts, Griffis and McOuat (WGM) to assist in the exploration for diamonds in the Torngat Mountain region of Quebec. As per the press release of June 9th, WGM will review the results of the airborne magnetic survey and other available data in order to select targets for ground follow-up and drill testing of potential diamond bearing pipes. Once the targets are selected, WGM will outline a program for exploration to be carried out during the 2005 season. WGM will be retained to oversee and direct continuing exploration of the Torngat property.

WGM will assign Senior Associate Geologist Dr. Harrison Cookenboo, Ph.D., P.Geo., to carry out the data review assignment. Dr. Cookenboo will be assisted by geophysicists from Paterson, Grant & Watson to interpret the airborne data. WGM Senior Geomatics Associate David Beggs, B.Sc., P.Geo., will assemble and prepare a GIS database of all the available geotechnical information which will allow the integration of the airborne geophysical data once received. The work will be completed under the general direction of WGM President Joe Hinzer, M. Sc., P.Geo. Together this team has more than 75 years of combined experience, both in Canada and abroad, working in all stages of development.
