Northrop Grumman Consolidates Presence in San Diego

Local Officials Join Company Representatives to Dedicate New Facility

SAN DIEGO, July 8, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) consolidated many operations in San Diego today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a 234,000-square-foot campus located on Spectrum Center Boulevard. The five-building complex will house approximately 850 employees and accommodate the company's expected growth.

Northrop Grumman is one of San Diego's largest defense contractors with more than 4,000 employees spread among customer sites, the new San Diego campus and other area facilities. All seven Northrop Grumman operating sectors have a presence in San Diego, and four will eventually be located at the new campus.

Highlighting today's ceremony were remarks by U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) 52nd Congressional District; U.S. Rep. Susan Davis (D-CA), 53rd Congressional District; Ron Roberts, fourth district supervisor, San Diego County Board of Supervisors; Ronald D. Sugar, chairman, chief executive officer and president, Northrop Grumman Corporation; Donald C. Winter, corporate vice president and president, Northrop Grumman Mission Systems; John Pettitt, Northrop Grumman corporate lead executive for San Diego; and James (Jim) Moxham, senior vice president, LNR Property Corporation.

"As a defense industry leader, Northrop Grumman has maintained a strong presence and commitment to San Diego," said Hunter. "The new campus development will ensure that Northrop has the platform to continue developing the highest quality products and I am pleased that a large portion of that development will take place here in San Diego."

The new campus includes offices, conference rooms, state-of-the-art system integration and research-and-development labs, demonstration centers, proposal centers, a manufacturing area and warehouse, a health and fitness center, an employee lounge and a full-service cafeteria.
